Please join us on March 19, 9:00 a.m. EDT to hear Administrator Power give the keynote address at USAID’s MujerProspera Challenge virtual closing event. As part of the Biden-Harris Administration’s efforts to address the root causes of irregular migration in Central America, USAID launched the MujerProspera Challenge, a regional initiative to advance gender equality in El Salvador, Guatemala, and Honduras that supported nine–primarily local—organizations. Over the past two years, the awarded organizations developed impactful solutions that promote women’s decision-making, agency, and access to power; increase resources and economic opportunities; and improve labor protections and safety from gender-based violence in their workplaces. Their approaches leveraged the private sector to advance women’s economic security and address harmful gender norms.
