National Strategy on Gender Equity and Equality

Description

This strategy is the product of a roadmap for a whole-of-government effort to advance gender equity and equality. 

• Section One of this strategy establishes the guiding principles that undergird our efforts to advance gender equity and equality. 
• Section Two outlines ten strategic priorities, acknowledging and addressing their interconnection. 
• Section Three elaborates on the whole-of-government effort that is required for implementation, which will ensure that a focus on gender is mainstreamed across the work of the federal government.

The strategy also considers the barriers and challenges faced by those who experience intersecting and compounding forms of discrimination and bias related to gender, race, and other factors.
