U.S. Government Strategy on International Basic Education
Description
Strengthening education systems—the people, public and private institutions, resources, and activities whose primary purpose is to improve, expand, and sustain education outcomes—in developing countries advances U.S. foreign policy goals, promotes U.S. and international security, and helps accelerate economic growth at home and abroad.
The U.S. government has two principal objectives to accomplish its goal:
1. Improve learning outcomes; and
2. Expand access to quality basic education for all, particularly marginalized and vulnerable populations.
